In een tijd waarin de wereld soms meer afstand dan verbinding lijkt te kennen, wilden wij iets maken dat juist het tegenovergestelde laat zien.
Een herinnering aan hoe ongelooflijk mooi mensen zijn. Op hun eigen manier, met hun eigen verhaal.
Tijdens onze reizen ontmoetten we gezichten van over de hele wereld. Verschillende culturen, karakters en levens, maar allemaal verbonden door iets heel eenvoudigs: menselijkheid.
Deze portretserie is een ode aan dat verschil.
Geen trends. Geen perfecte poses. Gewoon mensen, puur zoals ze zijn.
Met hun liefde, kracht, kwetsbaarheid en unieke uitstraling.
Alle foto’s zijn gemaakt met de Sony A1, in combinatie met verschillende Sony G Master-lenzen. Die set-up gaf ons de vrijheid om snel te werken, onopvallend te blijven en precies die kleine details vast te leggen die iemand écht typeren.
Hoe we de beelden maakten:
Bij elk portret kozen we voor dezelfde aanpak: houd het echt.
Werken met natuurlijk licht waar mogelijk, eerst even praten, ruimte geven, en dan geduldig wachten op dat ene moment: die blik, die ademhaling, die kleine verandering waarin iemand helemaal zichzelf wordt.
We hopen dat deze serie óók jou herinnert aan iets belangrijks:
schoonheid maak je niet… je ziet het, viert het, en deelt het met elkaar.
